Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Hockey NL announced today that the inaugural season for the newly formed Eastern Junior Women’s League in St. John’s will have their first games tonight. 

Debbie Bouzane is the Chair of Female Hockey in the province.  “We are very excited to have this new league formed.  We had a significant void in organized hockey for this demographic and now we have an avenue for these players to continue playing”, said Bouzane.

The league has four teams.  Three junior teams (22 years of age to 17 years of age) as well as the Midget AAA Eastern Ice Breakers.  The puck drop tonight is 7:00 pm at Feildian Gardens

 

7:00 pm              Blizzard vs Universal Corporate Wear

8:30 pm              Metro Ice vs Eastern Ice Breakers
