St. John’ s Hitmen Claim the Pee Wee AAA Provincial Title for a Consecutive Year

Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – The Hitmen from St. John’s went undefeated throughout the 2016 Pee Wee AAA Provincial Championships held this past weekend in Glovertown.  The defending champs finished off the weekend with a 2-0 win over their arch rivals Tri Com Thunder in the championship game on Sunday.  Abigail Newhook and Jordan Winter were the goal scores for the Hitmen, while teammate Jack Benson earned the shutout in goal.

Five teams competed in the provincial championship.  Teams that participated with the Hitmen and Thunder were the Host-Central Ice Pak, Western Kings and Tri Pen Ice.

The Hitmen will now represent Newfoundland and Labrador and attend the Bell Aliant Atlantic Regional Championship being held in Charlottetown, PEI from April 7-10, 2016.
