RE:          Hockey Development Survey 2023

Dear Members,

In November 2022, Hockey NL formed an independent committee to review the Hockey Development Program. The committee has been tasked with reviewing all aspects of Hockey Development – Grassroots, High Performance and coaching certifications.

The goal is to have a Hockey Development Program that provides players and coaches with strong technical, team and professional skills to allow them to not only participate but also to compete on provincial, national and international stages.

In order to have a broad understanding of what is working well and what are the challenges, and to receive any suggestions to improve our hockey community in Newfoundland and Labrador, the committee is seeking feedback from:

• players who have been or are currently part of the minor hockey system in NL;
• players who have been or are currently part of the High Performance Program;
• parents of current or past players;
• coaches, officials, volunteers and association executive members.

Below is a link to our survey seeking your feedback regarding hockey development. The survey will close on March 17, 2023 @ 5:00 pm. We encourage you to circulate this survey to members of your association, as the more responses we receive, the better we can understand areas of opportunity for improvement within our Hockey Development Program.
