Hockey NL Names Chad Brinson as New Technical Director
November 27, 2018
Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Hockey NL announced today that Chad Brinson has been hired as the provincial associations Technical Director.
Brinson worked with the sport governing body as a student while he completed his Bachelor of Recreation through Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2017. Since earning his degree, he has worked with the Town of Paradise and Green Belt Tennis Club. Chad is an NCCP Development 1 certified coach and has been a goaltending coach instructor for the provincial association for the last three years.
“We are very excited on the hire of Chad and the skills he has to offer our membership”, said Hockey NL President Jack Lee. “With his education, volunteer experience with our association and passion for the game, we expect he will be a great addition to our staff.
Brinson replaces former Technical Director, Paul Dagg, who held the position for six years prior to joining the coaching staff with the Newfoundland Growlers hockey team in September.
Brinson will be responsible to work with the volunteers in the operation side of the High Performance Program, Coach Education, Player Development (including specialty and skill clinics) as well as other development training, projects and seminars. He will work closely with the host minor hockey associations for events including the regional championships and manage all social media platforms for the association.
Chad will begin his job on December 10, 2018.
