Caribous Extend the Series

 

The Clarenville Caribous beat the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts 5-2 on Saturday night to get their first win in the best of seven of the 2014 Herder Memorial Championships brought to you by The Telegram played at the Clarenville Event Centre. With the win the Cataracts now lead the series 3-1.

Brad Crann, Chad Earle, Keith Delaney, Dale Sullivan and Andrew Sweetland into an empty net scored for the Caribous.

Andrew Pearcey and Cam Fergus replied for the Cataracts.

 

Jason Churchill got the win in goal for the Caribous stopping 31 shots while A.J. Whiffin suffered the loss for the Cataracts. .

 

Game five of the series will go today at 2:00 p.m. at the Clarenville Event Centre.  The Cataracts can once again win the series today. If the Caribous pull out a win, the series will shift back to Grand Falls-Windsor next weekend for Games 6 and 7, if necessary.
