The Eastern Female PeeWee AAA Ice Breakers defeated the Central Ice Pack in the Provincial Championship game by a score of 3 to 2.  The game concluded a weekend of excellent hockey in Port aux Basques at the first ever Newfoundland and Labrador Female PeeWee AAA Provincial Championship.

The weekend featured closely contested games between the four participating teams from across the province which included Western, Central, Tri-Pen and Eastern. The tournament showcased the strength of female hockey talent across the province that ensures a solid and bright future for female hockey in all regions of NL.

The Eastern Ice Breakers team is comprised of players and staff from the minor hockey associations in and around the St. John’s Metro region.

The Provincial Championship took place the weekend of January 10 to 12 at the Bruce II Sports Centre in Port aux Basques, NL.  The scores are as follows:
