If you’re looking for an opportunity to work with high-level hockey players while at the same time, working with and learning from very accomplished and respected hockey coaches & staff, you should think about getting involved in the High Performance Program. This is a unique opportunity for you to get involved and have a very rewarding and worthwhile hockey experience.   All of the positions provide a valuable development opportunity for Newfoundland & Labrador coaches, mangers and trainers. 

Hockey NL is now accepting applications with staff positions available in Male U14, Male U15 and Male U16. Female Under 16 and Female U18.

For the 2019 Canada Winter Games (Feb 15-Mar 3/2019 Red Deer, AB), Hockey NL will be accepting applications of Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Goaltender Coach, Trainer and Director of Operations for Male Under 15 and Female Under 18. Please note the respective staffs will join the team in 2017 and the commitment will commence following the conclusion of the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches (Male and Female) staffs must have their High Performance 1 Coaching Certification completed by June, 1/2018. This is a requirement by the Canada Winter Games Council and is non-negotiable. Hockey NL is hosting a High Performance 1 coaching seminar July 5-9/2017 at Memorial University.

Male U15 Staff:

  • Conference Calls leading up to Spring Camp & Summer Evaluation Camp
  • 2017 HPP Summer Evaluation Camp; August 15th-20th (Gander)
  • 2017 Atlantic Challenge Cup: October 5th-9th (Moncton, NB)
  • 2018 Male Under 16 HPP Spring Identification Camps (Location & Dates TBD)
  • 2018 HPP Summer Evaluation Camp (Location & Dates TBD)
