THE NOVAS CAPTURE 2015 IRVING OIL CHALLENGE CUP

DARTMOUTH, N.S. – The Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League’s Novas are Atlantic champions.

The Novas defeated the host Dartmouth Whalers 2-1 in the Gold Medal Game of the 2015 Irving Oil Challenge Cup at the Dartmouth Sportsplex on Sunday.

Logan Timmons and Ferghus MacDonald scored for The Novas while Luke Henman had the lone tally for the Whalers. Colten Ellis earned the victory in goal for The Novas and also received Player of the Game honours.

Earlier in the day, the Moncton Hawks captured bronze thanks to a 7-0 shutout win over Prince Edward Island’s Prince County Warriors. Jamal Nelson registered the shutout between the pipes for Moncton.
