Hockey NL is  now planning for World Girls Hockey Weekend which will take place October 9-11, 2015.  We are looking for associations to host the World Girls Hockey Weekend Long Games which will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2015.

Five divisions of female players will start the across Canada hockey games here in our province which will continue throughout the day until the last game is played in British Columbia.  One hour of ice time is required for each game.  The games start at various times (NL standard time) as follows: Atom 9:30 a.m., Peewee 10:30 a.m., Bantam 11:30 a.m., Midget 12:30 p.m. and Senior 1:30 p.m.

If your association is interested in hosting a long game, please advise Carolyn Yates, Female Chair at stating which game you are looking to host.  Host sites provide the ice time, someone to tweet and report updates during the game as well as enough players to have two teams (red and white).  All association are encouraged to arrange an event in connection with World Girls Hockey weekend.  Events can be anything such as Esso Fun Day, dry land training, ball hockey game, or an event that focuses on female participation.

All participants in World Girls Hockey Weekend events will receive a certificate and patch to acknowledge their participation.
