U11 AAA Pilot Project
NLAAAHL in partnership with Minor Council, will be continuing with the second year of our 2 year U11 AAA Pilot Project. Tryouts for these teams will start at the beginning of October with the first tournament being held in November. Tryout times and places will be release as soon as they are secured. Below is the regulation for the pilot Project.

U11 AAA Pilot Project
Zones
Tri-Pen, Central, Western will have one regional team Eastern Teams will be association Select Rep 1 Teams. Northern can participate if interest arises.
Team Rosters
Tri-Pen, Central, Western will have a group of 22 identified players, which 2 has to be Goalies. All players are full team members (No APs) Association Hockey has priority over all U11 AAA Events. With an Identified group of 22 players all teams should be able to meet the required number of players for scheduled Events. Eastern associations will follow their Association policy as per team Rosters.
Ice Allocation
Fair Play will use equal as outlined in the HNL Ice Allocation Policy. Fair play must be followed at all games and tournaments (If a team has more than the max number of players for a event there is the ability to not dress extra players but a player cannot sit a second game until all available players have not dressed for one at each event).Players who never sat the previous tournament will be the first to sit the next tournament to insure close to equal opportunity of games per kid.
Tryouts
Tri-Pen, Central, and Western team’s selection will follow current AAA selection process guidelines. Tri-Pen, Central, and Western team’s tryouts cannot be scheduled until November and must be completed on one weekend. Eastern associations will follow their Association policy as per team selection.
Tournament Play
There will be 4 Tournament weekends scheduled throughout the Season, One in each of Tri-Pen, Central, Western and Eastern. Tri-Pen, Central, and Western Zones will attend all 4 weekends, Eastern Teams may attend 2 weekends each based on number of Eastern teams participating. League Administrator will provide the schedule for all weekend based on criteria set out by Minor Council.
No Individual stats or Game standing will be calculated. Minor Council has the right to add or subtract the number of weekends that are listed above. Western, Central and Tri-Pen zones will have to have signed player releases from their Minor Hockey Associations in order to attend any weekend games. Eastern associations will follow their Association Policy for tournaments.
Practice
Tri-Pen, Central, Western, Northern Teams will be permitted to Practice ONE day in a calendar month with League Administrator’s approval. Signed player releases from their Minor Hockey Associations are required in order to attend Practice.
Eastern associations will follow their Association Policy as per practices.
Jerseys and Clothing
Tri-Pen, Central and Westerns team Jerseys will be provided by the league and returned back to the league at season’s end. Team Jerseys are to be handed out at the beginning of each tournament and collected back at the end of each weekend, Jerseys are only to be worn at AAA League games. Team Clothing and Apparel will be approved by Minor Council before any teams can purchase.
Eastern Teams will follow their Minor Hockey association policy with regard to Jerseys and Clothing.”
