🏒 #ThrowbackThursday – Kirk Johnson

Born in Buchans, NL, Kirk Johnson built a remarkable hockey career from junior through senior ranks, known as a strong, determined forward and a true leader on and off the ice.

A scoring champion with both Buchans and Gander, he helped capture multiple Veitch Trophies and was part of the 1975 Gander Junior Flyers team that won the Atlantic Championship.

Johnson went on to an outstanding senior career, recording 409 points in 213 games and capturing three Herder Memorial Championships. Known for delivering in big moments, he earned a reputation as a clutch performer who could always rise to the occasion.

Inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011, his legacy continues to be remembered across the province. 👏
