PEGGY PITTMAN HIRED AS COORDINATOR, WOMEN AND GIRLS DEVELOPMENT
Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Hockey NL is proud to announce Peggy Pittman of Bay Roberts has been hired as Coordinator, Women and Girls Development.
“Female Council is so excited to see a staff position dedicated to our women and girls program; supporting our players, coaches, officials and volunteers. Peggy will be a tremendous addition to the team” said Tracey Hatcher, Hockey NL Female Chair.
Pittman played 128 games over four seasons of NCAA Division 1 hockey with the University of Vermont. Prior to her collegiate career, Pittman played her minor hockey with the Bay Arena Minor Hockey Association. She is now a Development 1 Certified volunteer coach in the St. Johns Caps Minor Hockey Association, as well as being a Level 4 Hockey NL Official.
“I’m excited for the opportunity with Hockey NL. As a former High-Performance player, coach, and official, and a current recreational player and hockey mom, I am looking forward to working with the associations to create opportunities for females in the game and develop hockey skills while building a lifelong love for the sport” said Peggy.
Pittman will be responsible for the operations of Female Development models, Female Coach Education, Female High-Performance Development, as well as other development training, projects, and seminars. She will work closely with the Manager of Development & High-Performance, Female Chair, and Female Council to create successful initiatives for women and girls hockey development here in our province.
