Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games Female Hockey will be taking place March 1-5, 2014, in Clarenville. Tryouts for the Central Female Team will take place on February 2, 2014 at the Springdale Arena.  Girls registered in the Hockey NL female program, aged 13-16 as of Dec. 31st, 2013 are eligible to attend this selection camp.

Female program players from all associations within the central region from Baie Verte to Glovertown to Fogo to Harbour Breton are eligible for this team.  Players who have already made a winter games team with another sport are not eligible for this team.

There will be two ice times: 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  along with a dry land exercise.  Please bring along the appropriate clothing for all sessions.

There is no cost to attend this tryout day. A team of 15 skaters and two goalies will be selected after this one day selection process.  During the winter games accommodations and meals for the selected team is covered as per the government regulations.
