Female hockey continues to grow across Newfoundland and Labrador, providing players of all ages and skill levels with opportunities to learn, compete, and succeed both on and off the ice. From introductory programs to provincial championships and high-performance pathways, Hockey NL is committed to supporting the development of girls’ and women’s hockey throughout the province.

Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where athletes can reach their full potential while developing a lifelong passion for the game. Through player development initiatives, certified coaching, fair competition, and clear standards for conduct and sportsmanship, female hockey remains one of the fastest-growing areas of our sport.

Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and competitive environment for all participants. Players, coaches, team officials, parents, and spectators are expected to uphold the standards of fair play, sportsmanship, and respect both on and off the ice. The Rules & Guidelines outlined below help ensure consistency across the province while promoting a positive hockey experience for everyone involved.

Disciplinary actions, suspensions, and conduct expectations are administered in accordance with Hockey NL policies and Hockey Canada regulations.
