This outlines the details of the 2025 Male U16 High-Performance Program, which will consist of two invite-only phases. It highlights key dates, phases of the camp, and the selection process, as well as the structure and focus of each phase.

  • The 2025 Male U16 High-Performance Program will be held in the form of two regroup styled weekends. This camp will not be held with the other High Performance Programs age groups and will be invite only.
  • Players will be scouted and evaluated to be identified as an invitee to Phase #1 of the 2025 Male U16 High-Performance Program. Phase #1 will be held in the St. John’s area from June 6-8th.
  • Phase #1 will consist of 34 players- 18 Forwards, 12 Defence, and 4 Goaltenders. This weekend will include fitness testing, player interviews, presentations, and on ice sessions.
  • Following the conclusion of Phase #1 26 players will be invited to attend Phase #2. On-ice sessions in this phase will be focused more on team structure, identity, and creating a team culture. There will be team builders, mental preparations sessions, goal setting, presentations and on-ice/off-ice sessions in this phase. This phase will be held in the St. John’s area from July 18-20th.
  • During both phases accommodations will not be included with registration. Catered meals for breakfast & lunch will be provided and included with registration.
  • Following the conclusion of Phase #2 a clear-cut schedule with expectations will be in place for the coaching staff and the 20 players selected to follow. This will include video sessions, line meetings, special teams’ meetings/video, and team video calls on a biweekly/monthly basis for all players to ensure the group is prepared leading into the QMJHL Cup next October.
