Hockey NL would like to congratulate Matt Hollett of Paradise on being selected as Official of the Month.

Matt was nominated by his Local Referee in Chief Scott Francis who had great things to say about his work.

“Matt is very dependable at all times during the season but I want to highlight one specific example. During the week of minor provincials Paradise hosted three tournaments. As usual during provincials, officials that play have availability conflicts. Matt completed 22 games over this six day period to ensure all games were covered. He constantly checked in to see if all games were covered or if there were last minute cancellations with officials playing schedules changing for crossovers or medal games. He was willing to cover whatever was needed from morning to evening. This was really appreciated and helped these three tournaments run smoothly. Additionally, Matt has continued to show considerable progress in his game management and on-ice communication this season. He has a positive attitude and ability to be relied on for any level of hockey.”  Scott Francis, Paradise Minor Officials Association.
