Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – The Southern Shore Breakers have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Clarenville Caribous in the Herder Memorial championship with a dominant 7-2 win on Wednesday night at the Ken Williams Arena. The Breakers received a variety of goal scoring as 6 different players scored the teams 7 goals. Keenan Kennedy (2), Jeremy Nicholas, Matthew Oates, Kieran O’Driscoll, Peter Kavanagh, and Andrew Brennan all netted goals for the Breakers.

Justin Pender and Dustin Russell scored goals for the Caribous.

Mark Yetman earned the win in goal for the Breakers stopping 30 of 32 shots while A.J. Whiffen suffered the loss for the Caribous, allowing 6 goals on 42 shots.

The best of seven series resumes Saturday, April 23rd, 7:30 pm at the Eastlink Events Centre in Clarenville.
