Congratulations to the Canadian Tire Western Crushers on winning the 2023 U18 AA Provincial Championship with a 5-4 win over the Central Thunder. The event saw three teams compete for the championship. The Central Thunder edged out the Crushers for 1st place after the round robin by 4/100th of a point on goal average after both teams finished the round robin with 3-1 records. The two teams played a closely contested championship game with the Thunder jumping out to a 2-0 lead after the first period. The Crushers stormed back with four unanswered goals before the Thunder scored late in the 2nd to end the period trailing 4-3. Both teams traded goals in the 3rd but the Crushers held on for the 5-4 victory to lock up back to back Provincial Championships.
