Cataracts Take Commanding Lead in Herder
The Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts beat the Clarenville Caribous 6-2 on Friday night to take a 3-0 series lead in the best of seven of the 2014 Herder Memorial Championships brought to you by The Telegram played at the Clarenville Event Centre
.
Luke Gallant scored three goals (one on the power play), while Cam Fergus chipped in with two helpers and Andrew Brennan scoring a goal for the regular season champs.
Martin Lapointe and Ryan Desrosiers replied for the Caribous both goals were on the man advantage. .
A.J. Whiffin got the win in goal for the Cats stopping 43 shots Jason Churchill stopped 22 shots for the Caribous.
Game four of the series will go tonight beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Clarenville Event Centre. The Cataracts can close out the series tonight.
