CeeBee Stars Join Avalon East Senior Hockey League

September 16, 2015 (St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador) The Avalon East Senior Hockey League is pleased to announce that the CeeBee Stars Hockey Club have been accepted into the League for the upcoming 2015/16 hockey season.

The CeeBees last played in the AESHL during the 2010-2011 season when they won the League Championship.  The Harbour Grace-based club becomes the fifth team in the league and joins the St. John’s Caps, Bell Island Blues, Northeast Eagles and defending champion Southern Shore Breakers.  “Adding the CeeBee Stars to our League will improve the competitive balance and provide exciting action for hockey fans on the Avalon Peninsula”, commented League President Kevin Dicks.

CeeBee Stars President Mark Reynolds led the initiative to rejoin the AESHL and was pleased with the outcome of negotiations with League representatives. “We look forward to renewing our storied rivalries and bringing Saturday night hockey back to S.W. Moores arena”, commented Reynolds.

The League is currently finalizing its schedule that will see each team play 24 games in the regular season, starting on the October 23rd weekend. Current AESHL league and team information can be found on its website at, or by following on twitter @aeshl.
