COLE HARBOUR CAPTURES 2016 ATLANTIC BANTAM FEMALE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP 

LIVERPOOL, N.S. – The Cole Harbour Wings are 2016 Atlantic Bantam Female champs.

The Hockey Nova Scotia representatives defeated Hockey PEI’s Mid Isle Wildcats 3-1 in the gold medal game this afternoon at the Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool.

Ellen Laurence scored twice and Ava Benedict added a single marker as Cole Harbour topped Mid Isle 3-1 in the final. Deanna Fraser made 26 saves in net for the Wings to earn the win.

In an earlier game, Hockey New Brunswick’s Moncton Rockets topped Hockey NL’s Central Icepak 6-2 to claim bronze.
