Congratulations to Martin Patey of Twin Town Minor Hockey for being selected as Hockey NL’s Male Coach of the Month for February 2025.

A member from their association stated:

This man goes above and beyond for the kids. He is dedicated to coaching them and encouraging them along the way. He coaches during the week, and every weekend he is on the road to one of the many tournaments. Often getting in multiple games in one day. For example, one Sunday we had practice for u11 in Rocky Harbour and after it was done, he drove 5 hours to St. Anthony for a game that same day.

There is no one I have seen yet as committed to the kids other than him. The kids respect him and our parents are grateful to him. Without him, there would be a big hole to fill in our minor hockey association. I feel he truly deserves the recognition of this award.
