Congratulations to Coach Sarah Flight– Female February Coach of the Month!
Congratulations to Sarah Flight of Labrador West Minor Hockey for being selected as Hockey NL’s Female Coach of the Month for February 2025.
A member from their association stated:
Sarah has been an extremely dedicated coach since she started coaching hockey in 2017, Has been coaching multiple house league teams, also as a coach of U11B in 2021/2022, U11A through years 2022-2024 with a silver medal in 2022 and a gold in 2023 at NL provincials. She is now a coach of the U13A team for this season. She always puts the kids first over her schedule and is a key person in making the return of the Lakers going back to Sept Illes, Quebec in the Fer-o tournament which no team attended from NL in 22 years.
She gives the kids the most possible positive experiences and memories of a lifetime, and she is also adored by the parents of the kids of the Labrador West hockey association. She is a friendly face and a staple in the minor hockey program in Labrador West.
