Craig Tulk celebrated a milestone as the 2023-24 hockey season got underway last fall – 25 years as executive director of Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador.

A constant presence on the Rock for the last quarter of a century, Craig is firmly committed to enabling positive hockey experiences for all participants. He strives to ensure the game provides a safe environment and is always available for anyone who wants to lace up their skates, and he will go the extra mile in fulfilling his duties.

During Craig’s tenure as executive director, Hockey NL has grown both on and off the ice. Most recently, he was pivotal in modernizing the governance structure, and he continues to drive growth and development in programming. In addition, the provincial Member has seen improvement in financial responsibility, safe sport and maltreatment, and inclusion and equity. Through these improvements to the game, Craig has been a leader and instrumental in bringing stakeholders together from across the province.

Simply put, Hockey NL would not be in the position it currently finds itself in without Craig as its leader. His vision for the future has the organization positioned for further success. Not only is Craig a respected leader in his home province and throughout Atlantic Canada, but his voice carries weight at a national level, speaking from a place of always wanting to better organizations, teams and programming.

Congratulations Craig, well deserved!
