Below is a summary of the information provided by the Hockey NL Development Committee to all Minor Hockey Associations during the 2017 Hockey NL Fall Meetings. We ask that you please review the information and forward necessary documents to your respective Association membership.

Initiation Program (IP) Guidelines (CLICK HERE): Hockey Canada’s new mandate towards youth programming at the Initiation Program level was introduced at the beginning of the 2016/17 season. Further to the Hockey NL guidelines resource, please visit our IP information page (CLICK HERE)

Hockey Canada IP/Youth Promotional Video (CLICK HERE) – Mandate for Initiation Program & Benefits 

Novice Guidelines (CLICK HERE): Hockey NL introduced a mandate at the June 2017 AGM, stating all Novice games beginning at the 2017/18 will be played using a half-ice format. View the Novice Guidelines document for an overview of the Novice program. 

IP/MHA Funding Application Form (CLICK HERE): The Grassroots funding application was created to assist Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) that are in need of funding to aid in the purchase of equipment for their youth hockey programs. This may consist of smaller nets, dividers, blue pucks. Open until October 31st, 2017

Hockey University Online Checking Course (CLICK HERE) – Beginning in the 2017/18 season, assistant and head coaches at the following levels (click here to view the levels) will be required to complete the Hockey University Online Checking Course. Coaches will receive credit on their respective HCR profile. The course must be completed prior to the Provincial/Easter Tournament(s). The cost of this course is $15.00

NCCP In-Class Coach Clinic Hosting Application Form (CLICK HERE)– Hockey NL will be accepting NCCP in-class coach clinics host applications between September 1st, 2017 to January 15th, 2018. This applies to Coach 1, Coach 2 and Development 1.
