DON JOHNSON MEMORIAL CUP LAUNCHES IN LIVERPOOL – GOOD LUCK TO THE CBN JUNIOR STARS
The top teams in Atlantic Canadian Junior B hockey are facing off in Liverpool, N.S. this week.
The 2023 Don Johnson Memorial Cup, hosted by the Liverpool Privateers, runs from April 25-30 at the Emera Queens Place in Liverpool.
The tournament kicked off on Tuesday night and featured an all-Nova Scotia opening game. The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League (NSJHL) champion Antigonish AA Munro Jr. B Bulldogs defeated the host Privateers 4-3 in the tournament opener.
The event also PEI’s Kensington Moase Plumbing & Heating Vipers, Newfoundland and Labrador’s CBN Junior Stars, and New Brunswick’s Kent Koyotes, the defending Don Johnson Memorial Cup champions.

The Don Johnson Memorial Cup was first played in 1982 and is named after the late Don Johnson of St. John’s, N.L. Johnson was a long-time hockey volunteer who dedicated his life to the growth of the game in Atlantic Canada.
