Edmundston hosting Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship
EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Edmundston will host the Bell Aliant pee-wee AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship, April 5-8. The top teams from Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick will join the North West Pioneers to compete in this prestigious hockey championship.
This tournament is played in the region for the first time in its history. The twelve games will be played at the brand new Jean-Daigle Center. The first games of the championship will take place on Thursday, April 5th, from 1:30 pm, to end with the North West Pioneer game at 7 pm. The opening ceremony will precede this match starting at 6:30 pm. On Friday, the championship will continue from 10am and the host team will play again the last with a start time of 7pm.
On Saturday, three games will be played at 9:30, noon and 3pm. In the evening, the teams, their fans and their friends are invited to the banquet where prizes will be awarded to the best players of the championship. This banquet will take place at the Edmundston Convention Center starting at 6:00 pm.
The last two games of the weekend will be played on Sunday, April 8, the first at 9 am for the bronze medal game and the last at 11:30 to crown the Atlantic championship team.
Joining the Host Nord-Ouest Pionniers at this year’s Peewee Atlantic Championship will be the following teams:
