Grand Falls-Windsor, NL- The 2019 Bantam AAA Female Provincials are being held this weekend at the George Hawkins Memorial Arena in Twillingate, NL. The championship features the top 13 and 14 year old female players in the province representing three teams.  Teams competing this weekend are the Host team –, Central Ice Pak, Eastern Ice Breakers and Tri Pen Ice.

The winner of the provincials will claim the right to represent Hockey NL at the 2019 Bantam AAA Female Atlantic Championship being held this year in Clarenville, NL from April 4-7, 2019.  The Ice are automatically qualified for the regional championship as the host team.

The Ice are also the 2018 defending provincial champs.

In Corner Brook, the 2019 Midget AAA Female Provincials are being held beginning on Friday.  The championship features the top 15, 16 and 17 year old female players in the province.  Teams competing are the Host team-Western Warriors, Central Ice Pak, Eastern Ice Breakers and Tri Pen Ice.  Warriors are the defending champs.

The winner of the championship will claim the right to represent the province at the 2019 Midget Female Regional Championship being held this year in Bathurst, NB from April 4-7, 2019.  The winner of the event will represent the Atlantic region in the 2019 Esso Cup Midget Female Nationals being played Sudbury, Ontario from April 21-27, 2019.
