Grand Falls-Windsor, NL- The 2023 AAA Female Hockey Provincials are being held this weekend at the Corner Brook Civic Center in Corner Brook, NL.  The championship features the top female players in the province representing all regions and AAA category age divisions.

Tracey Hatcher is the Chair, Female Hockey in the province, is ecstatic that they were able to organize all three championships on the same weekend in the same venue.  “This weekend will be a celebration of Girls hockey in this province with all provincial championships in one arena.   We want to emphasize the efforts the City of Corner Brook have gone through to allow us to deliver this event and it illustrates their commitment to girls hockey”, said Hatcher

This is the first time that the provincial champion in the Under 13 AAA will earn the right to represent Hockey NL in the inaugural Atlantic Championship being held Port Hawkesbury, NS from March 30-April 2, 2023.

The Under 15 Female Atlantic Championship is being held in Woodstock, NB and the Under 18 Female Atlantic Championship is located in Membertou, NS, with these two Regional Championships also held March 30-April 2, 2023.

Teams will be competing from Eastern, Tri Pen, Central, Western and Northern.  The Eastern Ice Breakers are the defending champions in Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18 divisions from 2022.
