HOCKEY NEW BRUNSWICK TO HOST HIGH PERFORMANCE 1 COACHING SEMINAR
The NCCP High Performance I (formerly Advanced I) Seminar will be held from July 23rd-28th in Fredericton, NB on the campus of the University of New Brunswick.
In an effort to continue to provide a wider range of professional development for interested and qualified coaches, this seminar will be combining coaching education and an athlete development camp.
The coaching seminar will be the NCCP High Performance I Program where professional speakers will deliver sessions featuring topics such as special teams, yearly plan, offensive/defensive individual tactics, offensive/defensive team play systems, goaltending and much more. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the top coaches and hockey minds in Atlantic Canada, as well as other presenters from around the country.
The theory of coaching will be merged with the on ice application of coaching. In addition to classroom lectures and tasks, the selected coaches will plan and run on-ice sessions and participate on the bench in game situations for a portion of the Hockey New Brunswick Male Under-14 Summer Camp.
It is the commitment of Hockey New Brunswick to work with the already existing Provincial Branch Summer Camp to provide an exceptional professional development opportunity.
