President Jack Lee announced today that after consultation with power authorities, Hockey NL is recommending that all associations, teams and leagues work with their respective arena managers and municipalities (if applicable) and cease all program operations today and tomorrow.

The reason for this recommendation is that this action has been suggested to conserve power as Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Newfoundland Power crews work to stabilize the service throughout the province.  The provincial association would appreciate the membership’s attention to this issue.
