Shandie has been actively coaching for 4+ years with Paradise Minor.

Shandie is so kind and fair to all the players in her group. She is always encouraging them to do their best and she gets them motivated and excited about playing hockey. She always has a smile and makes learning the sport fun for the kids. We just love seeing her coach our kids. Coach Shandie really jives well with the kids. Shes fun and animated. The kids look up to her and there’s nothing better then having a woman on the ice. Not only does it encourage the girls, but it shows the boys that hockey isn’t a “boys sport”. She is the only female coach in the U9 and U7 Minor Divisions of our association. She is such an asset and so deserving of this award.

Shandie will receive a coaching package from Hockey NL for her efforts, including: Membership to the Coaches Site, Hockey NL coach bag, 3M Tape Tiger, FOX 40 whistle, HNL polo shirt and other various items.
