MONCTON SET TO HOST MAJOR MIDGET ATLANTIC’S
This weekend the city of Moncton will play host to the best Midget hockey teams in Atlantic Canada as the host Moncton Flyers welcomes the provincial champions from the four Atlantic Provinces. These five teams will duke it out for the chance to be crowned Atlantic Champion, and represent the Atlantic Region at the Telus Cup.
The 2013 Atlantic Major Midget Hockey Championship will take place Thursday April 4th, through Sunday April 7th with all games being played at the Red Ball Internet Centre.
The 2013 edition of the Atlantic Major Midget Hockey Championship will feature the following teams:
Valley Wildcats (HNS)
Western Kings (HNL)
Saint John Vito’s (HNB)
Cornwall Thunder (HPEI)
Moncton Flyers (Host)
“We are very excited to be welcoming these teams to Moncton and we look forward to an exciting weekend of hockey,” stated Tim MacDonald, Chairperson of the 2013 Atlantic Major Midget Hockey Championship. “It is an honour for us to host this event and host these first class athletes. Fans will be very impressed with the calibre of these teams and the talents of all these great players.”
The puck drops on Thursday at 1:00pm when Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador will face off against Hockey New Brunswick. Action will continue throughout the weekend with the Gold Medal Game slated for 1:00 p.m on Sunday April 7th.
