Passing of the Late Cliff Greene
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a very important member of the Corner Brook minor hockey family – Cliff Greene.
Cliff played an intrical role in our minor hockey operations – from scheduling officials to sharpening skates – and everything in between! He aspired to provide the best possible experience for our players and families every day, and he certainly succeeded! He was loved and respected by all – players, parents, volunteers, officials. Young kids were excited to find hockey pucks throughout the arena, which Cliff would exchange for a smile and a handful of candy!
It is hard to imagine the minor hockey office without Cliff sitting behind the desk with a stack of game sheets in front of him, proudly sporting a Montreal Canadiens hat. He will be missed tremendously.
Some say that Cliff was the face of Corner Brook Minor Hockey – but we know that he was actually the heart…
We ask that all players hang a jersey in their window in honour of Cliff’s memory and in recognition of the very special role that he played within our association and our hockey lives.
