Passing of the Late Clyde Bradbury
It is with great sadness that Hockey NL announces the passing of the late Clyde Bradbury. Clyde passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday May 7, 2019, aged 82 years. Clyde was a Hockey NL Board Member; Vice President-Junior Hockey.
Predeceased by his parents Jesse and Winnifred; brothers Warren and Rev Fred and sister Dorothy. Leaving to celebrate his life and wonderful memories his wife of 46 years, Cecile “Blanche” (nee Hounsell); children Sherri (Rick), Trevor (Cindy), Troy (Teresa), Tracey (Dennis) and Roger (Caroline); grandchildren Kayla “Koo”, Sarah (Steve) and Nicholas; in-laws Ron Housell (Sandra), Rosalind Holmes (Howard), Catherine Turner-Ryan (Dave Saunders), Nigel Turner (Gail) and Bruce Turner (Linda-deceased), also, a number of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and St. Luke’s Home, Inglewood, for their care and compassion they shown towards Clyde during his stay in each facility.
The family will accept visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday May 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday May 10th from 10-12 noon. Funeral service will be held on Friday May 10th from St. Philip’s Anglican Church, St. Philip’s.
The family gratefully decline flowers due to allergies, but donations in Clyde’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Newfoundland Hockey Association-Junior Hockey.
