Eric has been an enthusiastic volunteer since 1978 in many areas, giving his time and talents to any endeavour that would benefit the youth of his community. Eric won a number of awards for his volunteer efforts including The RBC Local Hockey Leaders program for which he is now listed in the Hockey Hall of Fame. He loved the time he spent at Trinity Placentia and was very proud of each and every young person who moved through the hockey program which he was so happy to lead. His hockey family had such an impact on his life and he in turn touched the many people he met through the years.
