It is with great sadness that Hockey NL announces the passing of the late George Paul Dupont on June 15, 2022, at the age of 52 years.  George was a former President of the Paradise Minor Hockey Association.

He leaves to mourn with found and loving memories the love of his life Cindy Dupont (nee Cooze) His 2 children, his world, his best friends whom he loved with all his heart, Kayla (fiancé Chris Heffernan), Tyler and Bailey dad girl.

He will be dearly missed by his mother Mary Dupont, sister Jacqueline Dupont (Maurice).  Mother in law Henrietta Cooze, brother in laws Craig (Darlene) Darryl (Lynn), sister in law Jackie (Dennis), Glenn Hounsell (Cathy) and many nieces and newphews.  He was predeceased by his father George Dupont Sr. and Father-in-law Carman Cooze.

George enjoyed life with his family and friends to the fullest.  His activities included hunting, fishing, sledding and of course the odd drink.  He loved a good time, a good laugh and always wanted to know “What’s for Supper”

The Dupont Family want to acknowledge his large circle of work colleagues in the Construction Industry.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation will take place at Carnells Funeral Home on Freshwater Road, Sunday, June 19^th, 10am to 5pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday June 20^th at 11:00am from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.

As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, a donation in George’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Though we know our memories of George will live on, his daily presence in the lives of his children will be forever missed.
