It is with great sadness that Hockey NL announces the passing of the late Jasmin Jamie Walters.  Jasmin passed away suddenly on Monday, March 25, 2019, in her 19th year. Jasmine was a female hockey player with the Port aux Basques Minor Hockey Association until she graduated last year.

Jasmin  leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her parents, Jamie and Trudy (Seymour) Walters, grandparents Gordon and Maggie Seymour, Douglas and Alfreda Walters, and great grandmother Jessie Walters, Aunt Tina (Lloyd) Payne, Uncle Travis (Melanie) Walters, cousins, Devon, Marcus and, Maddie, the love of her life, Shane Anderson, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her Aunt Deborah Seymour, great-grandparents John and Julia Seymour, and great-grandfather Wilson Walters.

Jasmin was a beautiful girl, with an infectious laugh and a heart of gold and left a lasting impression on everyone she knew.

In keeping with Jasmin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, March 29th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, March 30th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 30th at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Margaree, with Rev. Mark Murray officiating.
