It is with great sadness that Hockey NL announces the passing of the late Walter Davis, member of the NL Hockey Hall of Fame.   Walter passed away at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, Botwood, NL, aged 83 years.

Walter is predeceased by his wife; Phyllis; parents, John and Annie Davis; brother, Maxwell Davis.  Walter leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children,  Marie (Terry) Jackman; Ed (Christine) Davis, Scott (Lise) Davis, & Jeff (Ivy) Davis; 11 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Shirley) Davis; sister-in-law, Kay Davis; special friend, Vicki Andrews; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The public visitation will take place Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7-9 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Thursday, January 25, 2017 at 2 pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

Interment will be at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
