Grand Falls-Windsor, NL- The 2016 Pee Wee AAA Provincial Championship is taking place this coming weekend at the Glovertown Gardens in Glovertown, NL. The championship features the top 12 and 13 year old players in the province representing five teams.

The winner of the tournament will earn the right to represent the province and attend the Bell Aliant Atlantic Regional Championship being held in Charlottetown, PEI from April 7-10, 2016.

The teams will compete in a single round robin followed by a championship round on Sunday. The five teams are Host team – Central Ice Pak, Western Kings, St. John’s Hitmen, Tri Pen Ice and the Tri Com Thunder.  The Hitmen are the defending provincial champions while the Thunder won the league championship.  The teams competed in throughout the season in a 28 game regular season, plus playoffs.
