Immediate Release

Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – The 2018 Herder Memorial Championship will begin in Clarenville this Saturday night, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. at the Eastlink Event Centre.  The Clarenville Ford Caribous, winners of the Central West Senior Hockey League (CWSHL), will be hosting the St. John’s Green Sleeves Caps, champions of the East Coast Senior Hockey League (ECSHL).  The Caribous finished off the Gander Flyers in five games two weeks ago to claim their league title for the second straight year, while the Caps won the their league championship last Sunday night taking out the Southern Shore Breakers in six games.  The teams played one inter-locking game this season in which the CWSHL champs claimed by a score of three to two.
