Time to get your Head into the Shave!
Hockey NL and Shave for the Brave are proud to announce their partnership for the fourth year in a row! Back in 2013 Hockey NL president Jack Lee set the goal of 500 hockey heads shaved. After 83 heads shaved last year the partnership has totaled 424 heads!
We’re thinking this fourth year is going to see some massive milestones; we’re only 76 heads away from the original goal!
The partnership with Hockey NL and Shave for the Brave has done some tremendous things. There have been 34 Shave events and over $132,000 raised in three years. In 2016, Hockey NL Shaves supported 125,610 web visits to youngadultcancer.ca from people looking to connect with young adults dealing with cancer, their stories and their wisdom. Not to mention connecting 483 young adults through casual, fun, and local social events hosted throughout the year in six major Canadian cities and transforming 113 young adults through Retreat Yourself and the Survivor Conference.
This year, Hockey NL has offered to sweeten the deal by offering a Hockey NL Development Camp. To be eligible for this prize, all you have to do is sign up for the 2017 Shave for the Brave season with your hockey association and rock it!
