UPPER TANTALLON, N.S. – The best Bantam teams from across Atlantic Canada will hit the ice in Upper Tantallon, N.S. this week with the Atlantic championship on the line.

The 2019 Major Bantam AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship takes place from April 4-7, 2019 at the St. Margaret’s Centre in Upper Tantallon, N.S.

This year’s event will feature the top Bantam clubs from the four Atlantic Canadian hockey branches, as well as the Upper Tantallon-based Gulls Major Bantam Hockey Club, the hosts of the tournament.

The teams that will be competing for regional gold include:

  • Hockey New Brunswick: Dieppe Flyers
  • Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador: St. John’s Hitmen
  • Hockey PEI: Central Attack
  • Hockey Nova Scotia: ACCEL Physio Major Bantam Hockey Club

Due to a power outage at the St. Margaret’s Centre, the action gets underway on Thursday, April 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the BMO Centre in Bedford (61 Gary Martin Drive, Bedford, N.S.) when the Central Attack take on the ACCEL Physio Major Bantam Hockey Club. 

The tournament wraps up on Sunday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. when the top clubs from the event will face off for the Atlantic crowd.
