Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games Female Hockey will be taking place March 1-5, 2014, in Clarenville. Tryouts for the Mt.Pearl South Female Team will take place on Saturday, January 18th @ 5:00-6:00pm @ Southern Shore Arena and Sunday, January 19th, 6:00-7:00pm @ Southern Shore Arena. Girls registered in the Hockey NL female program, aged 13-16 as of Dec. 31st, 2013 are eligible to attend this selection camp.

Female program players from all communities within the Mount Pearl South Region including Mount Pearl, Paradise and all communities on the Southern Shore from Bay Bulls to Trepassey are eligible to tryout out.

We do have an injured player eligible and based on her previous grading we will be holding a spot for her.

Players who have already made a winter games team with another sport are not eligible for this team.

There is no cost to attend these tryouts. A team of 15 skaters and two goalies will be selected after this two day selection process.  During the winter games, accommodations and meals for the selected team is covered as per the government regulations.
