U18 AA / AAA Girls Update
Registration for the U18 AA Girls Program will open mid-September for players. Upon the U18 AAA Girls rosters being announced, player registration and coaching applications will be opened at that time for the U18 AA Girls Program.
New this season, U18 AAA/AA tryouts are independent of each other. Girls who are only interested in AA do not need to attend the AAA tryouts in their zone. Please note, a player who attends AAA tryouts and is offered a rostered position on the AAA team but does not accept, will not be eligible to attend AA tryouts.
AA tryouts will not be held in a zone until the AAA team is full. If a zone does not have a full AAA roster named, then no players in that zone will be eligible to be picked by another zone for their AA team.
Eligibility for AA/AAA:
In order to be eligible to participate in U13/U15 AAA/AA, players must register in the female program in their minor hockey association.
In order to be eligible to participate in U18 AA, players must register in the female program in their minor hockey association or with a HockeyNL registered girls High School Hockey team.
Players rostered in the U18 NL Major Female AAA Hockey League may choose to register in a female program, if they wish. There is no requirement for them to do so.
If there is no female team availble in the players minor hockey association, the player must register with the nearest association’s female program and be rostered on their female team. Discretion on eligibility may be approved by the Female Council Executive Committee.
Thank you,
Female Council
