Grand Falls Windsor, NL – Hockey NL regrets to inform you that we are unable to proceed with the U18 Female AAA league in its current format for this season. There has been extensive work done behind the scenes to build a high-quality program that best supports the development of our athletes. The decision to transition to a 3-Zone model was made with these goals in mind, and while we recognize that this approach has not been successful, we remain confident that changes to the structure of the league are necessary moving forward.

After careful consideration, and due to the significant delays and uncertainties that would arise from attempting to restructure the league mid-season, we have made the difficult decision to move forward with a revised model for this year. As such:

• The U18 Female AAA Eastern IceBreakers will continue as our sole AAA team for the 2025–26 season.
• We will focus our efforts on building a strong, competitive, and balanced U18 Female AA program across the province for this season.

We are already actively gathering data and input to plan for the return of a revitalized U18 Female AAA League next season — one that is stronger and better than ever before. We are committed to working collaboratively with players, parents, team staff, and organizers to ensure long-term success.

We understand this change may be disappointing and apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, we believe this decision is necessary to ensure the continued growth and sustainability of our U18 Female hockey program.
