TODAY, the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the Department of Public Health updated the restrictions for groups and sporting organizations with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic. As of midnight tonight, December 22, 2021, at 0000 hours, the entire province will be in Alert Level 3.

Amateur sport and recreation activities are limited to team practice, training and intra-squad competition.

Inter-squad, inter-division, inter-league and inter-association competitions are not permitted.

This development is unfortunate at any time, but especially heading into the Holiday Season. Hockey NL will be monitoring this situation daily and adjusting with any further direction from the Department of Public Health. We hope to see a resumption of these activities in the new year.
