Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Beginning on Friday, four teams will be in the central NL community of Glovertown competing for provincial hockey supremacy, as the Glovertown Minor Hockey Association will be hosting the 2018 World’s Finest Chocolate AAA Midget Minor Provincial Championships.

This tournament will showcase some of the top 15, 16 and 17 year old male hockey players in NL.  Teams participating this weekend are the Host-Central Thunder, Tri Pen Ice, Northern Huskies and Western Knights.  This is the first taste of competition this year for the Labrador region team- Northern Huskies, with the remaining teams participating in three warm up tournaments throughout the season,

The tournament will feature a single round robin followed by a semi-final and medal round games on Sunday.   

Tickets for games can be purchased at the Glovertown Gardens prior to each game.
