Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Beginning Friday, February 14th, the Grand Falls-Windsor Minor Hockey Association will be hosting the 2014 World’s Finest Chocolate AAA Midget Provincial Championships.

This tournament will feature teams from five regions of the province and will showcase the top 15, 16 and 17 year old AAA Midget players.  The single round robin games and Championship Game will be played from February 14-16, 2014 at both the Joe Byrne Memorial and Windsor Stadiums in one of the oldest minor hockey associations in the province.   Teams will be competing to earn the right to represent the province at the 2014 AAA Midget Atlantic Championship taking place in Alberton, PEI from March 27-30, 2014.

Teams participating in the tournament this year are the Host – Central Thunder, Western Bruins, Northern Huskies, Tri Pen and St. John’s Marshalls.  The Northern team from Labrador is the defending champs.
