A true builder of the game in Newfoundland and Labrador, Neil Amadio left a lasting impact both on and off the ice. Inducted into the Hockey NL Hall of Fame in 2000, Amadio was not only an elite all-star defenceman, but an exceptional coach who helped shape generations of players across the province.

From Buchans to Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor to St. John’s, his influence reached every level of the game, from senior hockey to minor and school programs. Known for his leadership, knowledge, and commitment to development, Neil set the standard for excellence, sportsmanship, and respect in the game.

His legacy lives on through the countless players and coaches he inspired along the way.
